Quality Control Engineer
An interesting and unique position has become available for a Specification Control Engineer to work with a very important Parts and Logistics company who are globally recognised for being at the forefront of their field.
As Specification Control Engineer you will be responsible for:
• Support service parts procurement from technical viewpoint
• Analyse and evaluate optimal maker layout for new model launches and model updates
• Part Number Reduction activity, fit and function tests, validation of changes, proposals to Japan for approval
Main duties:
• For new model introduction / model modifications
- Preparation of master lists for Spare Parts from Mass Production lists
- Carry out analysis to ensure understanding of service level for parts
- Understand technology changes on model and impact on supply route

• Maker layout confirmed with pre-assigned Mass Production suppliers
- Consideration to be given to ability to supply in future at non-current stage, are there any constraints etc.
- Consider what happens at end of production, what tooling/dies might be available
- When considering ability to supply non-current spare parts taking into account commercial considerations such as investment/manpower/cost analysis for future supply

• Thorough understanding of Bill of Materials, how parts are being assembled (levels 1, 2, 3 drawings)

• Identification and management of part number reduction/consolidation activity

Required experience
• Project Management
• Relevant degree / HNC minimum
• Technical ability mechanical or electrical (mechanical preferred)
• Commercial awareness
• Strong excel skills (managing large amounts of data)
• Future management potential

• Salary up to £36,000 per Annam
