A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Media Planner to join a very successful Digital Marketing agency based in the beating heart of London in this brand new leadership position.

You will have worked directly on planning and implementing media campaigns – with a sound knowledge of a wide range of media channels, and a fully comprehensive knowledge of digital strategy. You will now be looking to move away from day to day implementation, and instead focus on presenting media strategy to clients, developing senior client relationships, winning new business and growing existing client accounts.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will take ownership when in client facing situations to communicate results and have a consultative approach when making recommendations based on your findings. You will work collaboratively with our media, social and creative strategists to build strategy plans, and oversee your key client accounts.

Client sectors include: Travel & hospitality, Restaurants/Bars, Alcohol, Food & Beverage, Luxury brands.

The perfect candidate:
• Agency experience - This is essential. You need to fully understand and thrive on the high paced, pressurized environment of agency life.
• Excellent eye for detail - You will be juggling multiple senior client stakeholders, staff members and client strategies whilst ensuring excellent processes and teamwork are being upheld across your team. You’ve got to be flexible and dynamic.
• Media knowledge and experience - Experience across the full Media spectrum is required. You should clearly understand the rapidly evolving digital media landscape, and be able to talk consultatively to clients about challenges and opportunities.
• Strategic and planning experience - You should have clear strategic foundations to your media planning recommendations – for example you know your Byron Sharp through to your Nudge Theory, or have a foundation in other areas of marketing behavioural theory.
• Depth of Client Management Experience – You will have worked closely with clients F2F, via phone and email on a daily basis to set strategies and plan £10k to £250k+ a month cross-channel plans and regularly report progress to them. Confidence in developing robust Media strategy and plans, and presenting to senior client stakeholders.
• Experience of working collaboratively with media planners and buyers – overseeing their day to day client interactions and account optimisations/ set-ups
• Excellent understanding of tracking methodologies and techniques - but also consultative in advising on wider business impact and performance outside of just digital metrics.

Day-to-day:
You will take responsibility for key client relationships across all Media accounts, as well as developing strategies for new and potential clients.
• Onboarding, owning and nurturing new and existing key Media client relationships – collaborating with them to gain a deep understanding of business goals, and leading the development and management of effective integrated media plans for them.
• Maintaining clear oversight of all key Client Accounts – from budgets to timelines – and overseeing all campaign rollouts and implementation by junior team members for total accuracy and best practice
• Working with the Media Director to develop effective processes for the Media team as it grows and they win new Clients – to ensure high standards are maintained
• Identifying new opportunities in the marketplace, carrying out pitch prep and attending pitches
• Liaising with internal and external research teams, and undertakes own research, to collate market and customer insight to support and justify media laydown. Strong working knowledge of industry tools.
• Keep up to date with Media Buying industry trends and research in order to educate clients and internal teams
• Working with Media strategists to build and maintain relationships with media owners and positioning the business at the forefront of digital first media practice.
