Position: Shift Maintenance Manager

Location: Loughborough, East Midlands

Salary: circa £43'000 per annum + Additional Benefits

Hours of work: Day Shift

Duration: Permanent

We have an exciting and new opportunity available for an Shift Maintenance Manager working for a very well respected manufacturer based in the Leicester area.

Our client requires an Shift Maintenance Manager to drive a multi-functional engineering team to achieve key targets whilst delivering cost, quality and efficiency benefits to the factory. Leading a small pro-active maintenance and production team, dedicated to ensuring maximum efficiency and minimized downtime through effective pre-planned maintenance activities.

Key Working Relationships of the Shift Maintenance Manager

You will be reporting directly into the Factory Manager working as part of a highly talented management team driven to deliver exceptional results Regularly interacting and providing insight and influence at all levels, across the business from Management to engineering associates in leading and encouraging best practice sharing

Implementing and adhering to all Company and Factory procedures, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements in Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental.

Working to deliver world-class standards within the engineering environment using the 5S principles, CI and Maintenance schedules.

Overseeing engineering materials, goods and services to support the maintenance department in improvement of plant, buildings and utilities.

Management of capital improvement projects aimed at improving manufacturing capability.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

A recognised Engineering qualification – Mechanical or Electrical

Health & Safety qualification, IOSH or NEBOSH

Ability to implement structured problem solving techniques, provide solutions and delegate responsibility.

Demonstrable experience of managing and leading teams of maintenance engineers within an engineering department.

Demonstrable experience of the application of TPM within a process related manufacturing environment

A strong appreciation of the importance of safe working practices and health and safety within a manufacturing environments
