My client is currently looking for a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager to join their team in the UK. The role will involve managing lean savings within Northern UK while improving the performance of manufacturing KPI’s.
The role will involve travel between the UK sites and occasional international travel.
Key responsibilities:
•Translate the clients overall Manufacturing and Lean Enterprise Strategy into a Sub-Regional Hub deployment plan
•Involvement in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) target setting for the Hub through liaising with the Regional Director
•Manage Economic Value Added (EVA) through Lean Savings for the Hub, which includes Gap Analysis, Project selection to ensure savings are achieved and facilitation of support is managed as required
•Lead Excellence in Performance (EIP) and similar Lean activities to assist Manufacturing sites in achieving their KPIs
•Run high impact/high return projects in Manufacturing that may have Regional wide potential
•Work closely with business Leaders to ensure identification and alignment of projects so the EVA program is maintained at all times.
•Support critical Safety and Quality initiatives in line with the Manufacturing Strategy
•Deliver training in Lean and process as appropriate to enable functional teams to be actively involved in relevant projects.
•Facilitate knowledge sharing by initiating best practice sharing and benchmarking within the Hub and outwardly to the company by liaising with the other Sub-Regional CI Leaders.
•Develop Shingo and Zero Loss (local name for TPM) across the Hub by performing Gap Analysis activities and supporting the implementation of actions to move sites towards a Shingo Assessment.
•Keep up to date with new Lean initiatives.
Requirements:
Essential:
•Six Sigma Blackbelt certified
•Technical qualification to degree level or relevant experience
•Lean methodologies
•Has minimum of 5 years’ experience of operating in a Manufacturing environment
•Worked in cross-cultural teams
•Has developed people and teams using multiple Coaching and Training tools
•Excellent computer literacy skills, specifically Excel and power points skills
Desirable:
•Six Sigma Master Blackbelt
•Hoshin
•Financial awareness
•Familiar with Minitab
•Additional European Language
On offer is a salary of up to £55,000 plus additional benefits
