Job Title: Vocational Learning Advisor –

Location: Devon and Cornwall up to Bristol and Dorset

Salary - £28,000 - £32,000

Babcock International Group is currently looking to appoint a Vocational Learning Advisor

Purpose of role: Overall responsibility for learner progression, and enhancement of the Jaguar/Land Rover Apprenticeship Programme throughout their market area. Coach and assess learners to progress through their qualifications, complete dealer visits and ensure compliance with ESFA, Awarding Bodies, JLR and Babcock Group guidelines.

Top 5 Major Tasks and Activities:
•Responsibility for learner starts, framework progression and achievement, within market area
•Responsibility for timely learner review & completion achievement within Region
•Build effective relationships with employers within market area
•The assessment, progression and completion of learners in line with the Awarding Body code of Practice and Babcock Quality Assurance frameworks
•To effectively manage diary to ensure all learners within your caseload are supported in line with company and contractual requirements

Additional Key Accountabilities:
•Within region ensure that the employer H&S/Liability Insurance is in line with contractual obligations
•To attend and contribute to both team and standardisations meetings
•Maintain & develop professional and vocational skills/knowledge/qualification through internal/external training and other development opportunities. Ensure all “continuous professional development” is recorded.
•To ensure use of all operating systems and upgrades is as stated in company policies and procedures
•Gain feedback from employers and customers in line with company procedures
•Comply with Internal Quality Assurance strategy
•Ensure Babcock Equality, Diversity and Welfare policies and procedures are followed at all times
•Ensure Babcock Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times

Key Technical Skills / competencies:
•Possess current vocational knowledge and experience within an Automotive service, maintenance and repair environment
•To be IT literate in Word, Excel and MS Outlook
•To possess a high level of literacy skills and be able to read and interpret information
•To possess a high level of numeracy skills and be able to calculate and interpret figures

•To possess excellent organisational skills and a professional demeanour
•To have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with others
•A willingness to travel/stay away from home within the region if required
•To be a self-motivated and possess a flexible approach

•Ability to work in and adapt to a changing environment

Company/Industry Knowledge:
•Up to date industry knowledge to include legislation knowledge
•To keep up to date with all Awarding Organisation and Apprenticeship information

Qualifications:
•General Certificates in education
•Industry- related qualifications such as Degree, HND, or NVQs
•Working towards or attained A1/CAVA TAQA Assessor Qualification

Role Information
£28,000 - £32,000 + Company car

Permanent, Full-Time

37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday

25 day holiday (pro-rated) + Bank Holidays
