We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant for a reputable company based in Leicester on a temporary basis starting immediately, the assignment is initially for 3 months with the opportunity to be extended. The working hours are 08:00am – 16:00pm with a 30 minute lunch, Monday-Friday.

As the Purchasing Assistant the key responsibilities of the role include;

* Placing purchase orders using internal system
* Expediting outstanding purchase orders with suppliers
* Database management
* Monitoring Order Action Reports
* Producing drawings from file or electronically
* Creating work orders for assemblies
* Tracking orders to ensure all materials are delivered on time
* Assisting with supplier evaluation, collating data and analysing
* Generating and processing both customer and supplier returns
* Assisting the stock and inventory department as and when required

To be successful in the Purchasing Assistant role you will;

* Previous experience as a Purchasing Assistant
* Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Packages
* Have excellent written and verbal skills
