IT Manager - Travel Technology

Mane Product & Technology are recruiting on behalf of a world leading travel technology company for a IT Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a start up company within a global organisation.

Your main responsibilities & duties as IT Manager are as follows:

- Manages a global team of technical experts, looking after the travel Platform
- Manage release cycles & delivery processes with Product teams and vendor for the internal point of sale, API and core platform features
- Team coordination, timeline management, status meetings, toolset management
- Align delivery process with business needs & drive associated change management
- Responsible for the infrastructure management
- Technical maintenance & improvement
- Vendor selection and procurement with Enterprise IT teams
- Capacity management (performance testing, planning)
- PCI, GDPR & other security compliancy in line with industry and company standards
monitoring system managements
- Platform operations
- Error reporting & reduction
- Incident management & escalation
- Ensure efficient Incident management process (communications, RCA, corrective actions)
- Provide support to other internal teams; Interface with architects, development leads support adhoc initiatives onrequest

You will have the following background as a IT Manager:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent education/experience
• Significant experience managing technical solution, preferably in fast moving environments
• Experience in managing 3rd parties
• Ability to adapt and work in a start-up environment as well as in large global company
• Technical aptitude and solid understanding of the digital landscape (mobile, web, big data) and development methodologies
• Conversational familiarity with technologies such as .NET C++, Java/J2EE, SOAP, RESTful interfaces, JSON, XML, struts, spring, hibernate, and database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures)
• Flexible/Adaptable - able to quickly shift priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic mind set
• Experience in the travel industry preferred
• The ability to work collaboratively with other technology departments
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, other language a plus
• Ability to articulate technical information in a business related manner
• Ability to travel up to 15%
