This is an exciting prospect for someone to join a dynamic, talented team within Corporate Audit. You will have the opportunity to join a fast track programme and develop your skills and experience, whilst being fully supported by the management team.

Due to the sheer size of the organisation, there will be frequent travel across the world. This will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to experience various cultures and really gain invaluable skills that you wouldn't usually find in a standard role.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and understand the key risks, processes and mitigating controls across a variety of business functions.

Undertake individual audit assignments for which the key output is an audit report circulated to local, Divisional and Group management.
Act as the project manager and key point of contact for assigned audit projects, liaising across all levels of Management as appropriate, taking responsibility for on-time completion of the audit process.
Use the Corporate Audit risk assessment methodology to identify key areas of audit focus for each audit assigned.

Tailor and execute the testing for a range of standard audit scopes and work programmes according to the risks identified for that business.
Prepare high quality working papers, supporting the audit findings and conclusions drawn

Interpret audit findings, drawing balanced conclusions and work with Management to develop practical and pragmatic recommendations that are focused on addressing the key risks.
Contribute to the development of the Corporate Audit function by participating in the development of new ways of working and testing programmes for key risk areas.

Assist Corporate Audit Management by taking part in adhoc reports, projects or investigations (as required) and the sharing good practice within the Corporate Audit Team and wider business.

Qualification and Skills

Formal Qualifications


Holds a recognised professional membership of a chartered organisation in their field of expertise, or demonstrates equivalent experience and expertise in their chosen field (where not relevant).


Recognised bachelors degree level qualification

Specific Functional Competencies, Knowledge and Skills Required

Skills & Experience

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in either:
- A finance and/or compliance role; or
- A relevant equivalent function within a GKN business.
Or is Part of a GKN Graduate Training Programme.

An understanding of project management principles and associated stakeholder management.

Demonstrates understanding of Governance and Internal Control that is relevant to a large multi-national organisation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, (second language not essential but beneficial).
