Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire

Vertical Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer with 2 years' experience to join one of our clients based in Cheadle Hulme close to Manchester, delivering innovative solutions to their client's.

Our client:

. Is an award-winning Building Services consulting engineering practice providing comprehensive mechanical and electrical design services to clientele nationwide.

. First established in Manchester they now have expanded to locations such as Liverpool and London.

. At the forefront of BIM and Revit, there Revit technicians have over 10 years' experience delivering level 2 BIM schemes across all sectors.

. Currently designing projects within the following sectors; commercial, education, healthcare, hotel, Industrial, retail, specialist, sports & leisure and student accommodations.

What you'll be doing:

oWorking alongside the supervision and guidance of an established team of principal to Intermediate level mechanical design engineers delivering detailed design.

oUsing specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project oDesigning site-specific equipment as required.

oLiaising closely with other professionals, including technicians, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams

oAttending a range of project group and technical meetings

oEnsuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements

oAdvising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint

What we need from you:

oAt least 2 years experience with running projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc

oAccredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)

oAutoCAD experience (experience with IES/TAS modelling and Revit would be an advantage)
