Role Overview

Provide high quality business and technical analysis services and guidance in projects, acting as a systems business partner to multiple customers and internal stakeholders in the organisation.

Who you'll report to:

Reports to Business Systems Lead.

What you’ll be doing:

Producing, maintaining and taking ownership of all analysis, consultancy and implementation deliverables related to business systems that are required within assigned projects and programmes, following a project management established methodology.

Creating process flows, wireframes, mock-ups and other materials to remove ambiguity and support requirement definitions across all new and current systems.

Working closely with the Business Systems Analysis Team Lead to prioritise and agree delivery of analysis services in line with product roadmaps, software release schedules and business priorities.

Researching, planning and recommending system and software choices to meet requirements and ensure software solutions are aligned with technology and business strategies.

Proposing appropriate analysis approaches and deliverables, and producing clear, concise and well-written materials in compliance with both internal and external standards.

Serving as third line of support for any complex incidents, service requests, problems and change requests related to business systems, in accordance to ITIL principles.

In addition to providing analysis services, you might also be called upon to produce Business Requirements Specifications, Functional Specifications, “As Is” and “To Be” process models, use cases, traceability matrices and other analysis materials when required.

Designing and delivering stakeholder management and hosting of user requirement workshops in conjunction with Project Managers and / or independently.

Any other duties related to the lifecycle of business systems as deemed necessary by your line manager.

NB: This role requires you to be available whenever implementations, change and upgrades require, due to the nature of systems availability and downtime KPI’s, including eventual out of hours work and weekends.

What will you be like?



Prince2 Foundation certified or willingness to undergo training

ITIL Foundation certified or willingness to undergo training


At least 1 years’ experience of working in a Business Systems Analyst role

At least 2 years’ experience of working as an analyst

Experience and capability of providing excellent customer service

Experience in several systems administration and configuration


Experience managing external suppliers


Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of the systems and their lifecycle

Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of analysis techniques and associated deliverables

Technical skills

Ability to troubleshoot different systems.

Expert use of MS office suite, including advanced excel skills.

Moderate to expert use of Jira, Project or any other PM software.

Ability to document complex issues in a non-technical manner


Industry specific systems (Ideally: Qube, Coupa, MS Dynamics Navision, etc.)
