Are you an Electrical Engineer with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing?

Do you have knowledge of Injection Moulding techniques and experience of high volume, high tempo manufacturing environment?

You will have a solid background in manufacturing, capable of effectively improving production through the use of Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

You will be part of this successful and busy Engineering Management team enjoy a forward thinking culture and progressive environment. You’ll be in one of the essential Engineering roles at the heart of the production manufacturing environment.

Alongside access to an excellent salary on appointment, working core hours Monday to Friday, and the opportunity to work with top-class people, you will be given plenty of responsibilities including:

Running mini projects that are highlighted through the data generated from the business.

Design of production facilities for Injection Moulding process

Undertake POKA YOKE “mistake proofing” of all jigs and fixtures and machinery

Oversee installation of specialist equipment for Injection Moulding process

Complete documentation of process and CE marking of equipment

Continuous improvement of process and performance

Ensure Conformance to Health and Safety requirements

Based out of the client’s manufacturing site in the County Durham area, candidates willing to travel from outside the area will be considered for this appointment

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

To be qualified to a degree or HNC level in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Experienced & knowledgeable in Injection Moulding high quality manufacturing

A Proactive approach in order to foresee potential problems and instigate corrective actions

A drive for Continuous Improvement

Able to use own initiative and work within a team.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Fully capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings

Knowledge of organising the workplace

Experience in Value Stream Mapping

Computer literate and experience with Microsoft office including Excel.

Good verbal and written communication skills

A current driving license and Passport as travel to other UK sites and suppliers will be required as and when necessary
