Position: Deputy Nursery manager

Salary: £20,000

Location: Edenbridge

We are looking to place a Deputy Manager in our Edenbridge branch. The manager has the support of the deputy manager and boasts an experienced and motivated team, genuinely happy families and good occupancy levels. We hope the new manager will complement the team’s ethos and commitments.

Some of the responsibilities of the manager will include:

To manage day-to-day operations of the Nursery
To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
To effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are implemented and adhered to at all times
To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels with the support of the deputies
To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
To implement an effective parent liaison programme; to be influential in developing strong links with parents
All candidates will be required to:

Have a minimum of NNEB, NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification
Have a proven track record with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar management role
Possess an excellent knowledge of the Ofsted and Welfare Requirements
Possess proven experience of achieving Good or Outstanding grades with Ofsted
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EYFS and key person system
Have a good understanding of how to create engaging and challenging learning environments for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers
Have excellent communication skills and be a strong leader as well as a team player
Be energetic, proactive, self-motivated and have attention for detail
Have a passion for working with young children
Demonstrate a good level of spoken and written English
