Digital Marketing & Website Officer - Charity - £28k

This role in the Communications Department of a charitable organisation, which is based in central London, within wonderfully landscaped grounds and historic listed buildings, frequented by high profile guests and has a wonderful history with a strong reputation to present. This key role will develop and manage the digital communications, marketing and Fundraising capabilities, to raise awareness of the organisation. It will also greatly support the work of the Fundraising and retails teams to generate income.

SALARY ETC:
* £28,000pa
* Excellent pension options, 25-days holiday + BH, Season ticket loan, free use of gym, discounts for on-site coffee shop and retail outlets.
* Location: Central London
* Monday to Friday, office hours (Very rarely, but occasional weekend / evening hours may be required)
* Contract: Permanent, full-time (41-hours a week, which includes your paid for breaks)

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
* Develop and manage the website as the hub of communications activity, ensuring content is compelling, up-to-date and conducive to key digital marketing and fundraising goals
* Manage the creation of new pages and sections of the website using Drupal CMS that are fit for purpose and add value to the user experience
Plan, create and develop long-term digital content calendars across website, social media, email and other digital platforms
* Schedule time sensitive content and respond to social media comments and reactions in real time. May sometimes require evening and weekend hours
* Lead on social media strategy including content creation and delivery, audience growth, paid content, trend adoption and PPC budget allocation
* Ensure social media and content creation training (video, photography, editing) is available to relevant staff
* Manage PPC accounts across Google Adwords, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to generate traffic to the website, follower growth, and engagement with social content
* Creation of social media content on a weekly/daily basis reflective of long term digital content strategies
* Respond to all social media comments and enquiries
* Formulate email marketing strategy with email data using Dotmailer and ThankQ CRM, including regular e-newsletter, automated welcome series and audience segmentation
* Keep the website’s cookie and privacy policies up to date
* Work with the fundraising department to support income generation, both directly (by maximising online income) and indirectly
* Develop email strategies and create content for current and prospective supporters using Dotmailer and ThankQ CRM
* Enhance giving mechanisms on website, social media and other giving platforms including SMS giving
* Support off-line fundraising events and initiatives with digital communications and marketing

REQUIREMENTS:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent, or extensive digital marketing experience
* Proven experience in digital marketing, including online advertising and search engine optimisation
* Creative with the ability to plan, track and deliver highly successful digital campaigns
* Proficient in managing websites via a Drupal-based content management system
* Proven ability to forge strong working relationships with external website and digital agencies
* Good copywriting skills and excellent attention to detail
* Experience of InDesign
* Experience in devising and running Google Adwords campaigns
* Ability to use Google Analytics to evaluate website performance and the user experience
* Highly IT literate and proficient at Photoshop and Illustrator
* Excellent people skills and ability to forge strong working relationships, including with charity beneficiaries and staff
