SEN Teaching Assistant | Speech & Language Focus | Outstanding All-Through School

An ‘Outstanding’ All-Through School in the London Borough of Waltham Forest are looking for several SEN Teaching Assistants to join their SEN Department ahead of the October half term. This All-Through School have brilliant facilities across Early Years to KS5, as well as a Speech & Language SEN Unit on site. The School are looking for Psychology or Sociology graduates, that are looking to gain further experience before enrolling onto further education or following a certain career path.

This role will involve you working within the SEN Unit, and supporting the Speech & Language therapist 3-4 days a week, as well as this you will be working with pupils within KS1-2 with EBD and further challenging behaviour issues. The ideal candidate would have previous SEN experience within a child related setting.

·SEN Teaching Assistant

·Early Years – KS2 (3-11 years old) – 1:1 & group basis

·Working within the onsite SEN Unit – Speech & Language focus

·Supporting a range of SEN: Autism (ASD), Challenging behaviour and EBD

·£70 - £80 per day – Will increase after 12 working weeks + Healthcare Package

·ASAP Start – Long-term – Full time

·Located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest


·1st Class or 2:1 Psychology or Sociology degree from a reputable University

·Previous SEN experience required – Speech & Language or Challenging behaviour

·Must be committed to the role, and be willing to go above and beyond for the children

·You must be able to work effectively within a team


·Graded ‘Outstanding’ in latest Ofsted report

·Large All-Through School – Early Years, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 & KS5

·SEN Centre onsite – Speech & Language and Autism focus

·Fantastic SLT that provide in & out of house training for all staff

·Brilliant results across both Primary & Secondary phases

·Located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest

·Good Tube Links – Central, London Overground and TfL Rail
