You might not have a teaching qualification or decades of experience, but we're looking for is for you to have an unwavering commitment to keeping vulnerable young people safe and an excellent way to engage an help educate a disengaged or challenged student.

Imagine being able to plan a bespoke session for one student, designing it around their interests and having the flexibility to adapt it based on their emotional needs. This can be a reality if you have the relevant experience, required skill set and necessary characteristics.

You're going to need at least two years of experience working alongside young people with Special Educational Needs and those who demonstrate challenging behaviours and barriers to learning. This can be in the form of ASD, ADHD, GDD, SEMH, MLD, SpLD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia to name a few.

If you have this relevant experience, ability to engage and inspire a young person as well as the understanding of how to use specific interventions and de-escalate potential challenging situations then we want to hear from you.

My Responsibilities:

This role will vary from one student to the next, but the single, most-important requirement of this role is that you put the student's needs at the forefront of all that you do, whilst they are in your care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, delivering and reviewing bespoke sessions by utilising formative and summative assessments as well as targets provided alongside the student's interests and complex needs.
  • Sessions will take place in a suitable learning environment outside of a school setting.
  • Sessions will be scheduled between Monday - Friday (term-time) for a duration of between 3 to 6 hours per session.
Documenting, reporting and evidencing learning.Completing risk assessments to provide a safe environment for yourself and the student.Embedding safeguarding practices in your work and adhere to all company policies.Communicating regularly with your line manager (Education Coordinator).Attending meetings to evidence your student's progression and development (if required).Attending any required training that contributes to the role.
