EARLY YEARS TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED TO START AFTER EASTER – ‘OUTSTANDING’ CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL IN SALFORD, M3

Early years teaching assistant required to start after Easter

Supply Desk are currently working closely with a small, ‘outstanding’ Primary school in the Salford area. The school have a fantastic team of people who make sure the children enjoy learning and they all of the staff in the school have high expectations of the children to do well. The school are a small Catholic primary school that take pride in their learning and are involved a lot with the local community and Cathedral. The school promotes visits to art galleries, museums, parks, farms, theatres, libraries and castles to bring learning to life. Expertise shared by the many different creative practitioners helps to create a vibrant learning environment for all who come to the school.

As an early years teaching assistant you would be assisting the class teacher in the mixed early years nursery/reception class of a small group of around 20-30 pupils. You would be required to lead sessions for individuals or small groups in order to boost attainment and engage with the children assisting with general class room support with fun and messy play. The ideal candidate must have experience working with young children between ages 3-5 years, be a fun and vibrant individual and have passion towards education and helping the children develop and grow.

Job Highlights

* Minimum GCSE Maths and English qualifications required
* Experience working with early years children
* Experience working with children aged 3-5 years
* Fun, energetic and willing to get involved with indoor and outdoor learning and messy play
* Knowledge working within a catholic environment preferable but not desirable
* Full time, temporary contract up to end of academic year
* Salford M3, 15 minutes from Manchester city centre
* £55- £70 per day
* Trials taking place first week after Easter
