Sewell Wallis are recruiting a Financial Controller for a growing SME that works in a niche services environment across West Yorkshire partnering with some of the Regions leading heritage sites. This exciting role is an extremely rare opportunity for the right person to be the number two in finance working closely with the Directors of a fast paced SME Business.

The business has ambitious plans to continue on an exciting upward trajectory whilst remaining true to their values of doing things in the right way.

This is a very hands on and involved role which allows the successful candidate to utilise and develop their management accounting skills, business partnering skills but not being too removed from the day to day numbers.

* Preparation of the monthly MI and reporting back including variance analysis and KPI's
* Preparation & submission of all VAT returns
* Day to day cash flow management and reporting
* Preparation of annual financial budgets and monthly flexed budgets
* Working Capital Management
* Development of the financial reporting systems and internal control procedures
* Management of day to day accounts payable utilising sage
* Strategies to improve gross margin opportunities and cost reduction measures
* Preparation of annual financial reports
* Liaising with the auditors
