Technical Services Delivery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join successful international company based in Reading as a permanent Technical Services Delivery Manager. The role of the Technical Services Delivery Manager is to plan and manage the daily delivery aspects of team of developers both on and offshore

* Make recommendations to the Technology Director on the skills makeup of the team, recruitment and training requirements of the team.
* Work with Technology Director to: Establish resourcing forecasts and schedules In line with project and programme demand.
* Agree rotation plan of staff between major project and Agile based small change/ maintenance activity
* Partake in performance management and reviews of team members.
* Help establish use of JIRA as a key tool in development cycle.
* Work with the Business Analysts/Product Owners to help define excellence in Requirements documentation, story writing, acceptance criteria etc.
* Ensure on-time high-quality code releases.
* Understanding multi-projects roadmap.
* Becoming instrumental in improving and implementing processes and values that help us continue to be effective as the company scales.
* Encourage various Lunch & learn sessions with cross function teams and departments.

Person Specification:

* Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.
* Experience of working at a senior level in customer facing role.
* Supply chain and logistics experience.
* Minimum Project Management experience of 3 years in an Engineering / Electronics/ or Software related discipline.
* Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel and MS Project.
* Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
* Ability to work independently and perform under strict time constraints.
* Valid driving licence required
