Competitive Salary DOE

Smart Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an international engineering company that supplies to the automotive and aerospace industries. They are leaders in their niche field, and have operations in the UK and Europe. The company is very well established with very few competitors for their core products.

The Special Processes department is concerned with providing specialist cleaning services for high value critical engineered components. The department generates income through providing these specialist component cleaning services to external companies, and provides a guarantee to those customers of 48 hours – therefore getting work unpacked from goods-in, scheduled in to be processed, and back out to the customer is critical.

We would like to recruit someone who has a background in engineering of some sort, and ideally has worked within or understands a clean room environment. In particular, some experience in either Aerospace, Precision engineering or Automotive industries would allow someone to hit the ground running in this job. If you have worked in some capacity in an engineering firm and you are looking for your next step in terms of responsibility and career development then this could be the role for you.

You will need to have great communication skills – this role will involve a great deal of customer liaison, in order to manage client expectations during a 48 hour turnaround from receiving parts to be cleaned, to point of parts delivery back to the customer once the service has been performed. You will also perform hands on work, and be involved in the process from start to finish, giving you a great way in which to understand all processes and be able to advise customers in an accurate and timely fashion.

Experience and qualities required

* Ideally the successful post holder will have experience of working in an engineering environment, Knowledge of ISO classes of clean-room would be advantageous.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential.
* Well-developed IT skills, including Word and Excel
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong communicator with good customer liaison skills, displaying empathy and resilience when dealing with customers
* Team player who works constructively with colleagues in order to achieve targets and work schedules
* Has a tenacious approach and sees task through to conclusion

You will be working within a team of 7, and you will be able to become a vital part of their growing operation. We look forward to receiving your application, and are happy to answer any questions you have regarding the position
