OVERVIEW: Marketing Manager / Senior Marketing Executive sought by software and IT services business specialising in delivering enterprise / ERP software solutions to the multi-channel retail and manufacturing markets. Perfect opportunity for a proven B2B marketing professional all-rounder. Salary dependent on experience is negotiable but target region is to C£35K+ basic plus C£4,740 car allowance and fuel card plus contributory pension scheme with salary exchange option, 25 days’ holiday plus 8 statutory days, option to ‘buy’ an extra 5 days through holiday exchange scheme, permanent health insurance, medical insurance, life assurance.

Location - You will ideally be based in the Coventry office the majority of the time but there will be occasional travel to the companies other offices such as Sheffield and Bristol.

My client has a focus on growth, which is underpinned by a continual investment in its enterprise software solutions to ensure they are consistently market-leading, helping customers stay one step ahead of their competition.

THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY

My client has an opportunity for a highly capable and very "hands-on" Marketing Manager to join the team. This role would suit someone who relishes variety and is looking to continue to further their marketing career by combining hands-on marketing programme execution with supporting the strategic development and growth of the division.

Working as part of the Coventry-based marketing team, you will be responsible for delivering strategic programmes in lead generation, digital marketing, content marketing, marketing automation, collateral and events. My clients customers are typically manufacturing companies that buy my clients ERP software suite / applications and associated software services. Hands-on and creative, you will be used to using your initiative to devise and execute cost-effective marketing that generates leads and sales. You will also be skilled at self-managing projects, priorities, deadlines, budgets and delivery.

Responsibilities of the Role;

- Create and execute marketing for three software products and services across new business sales and the customer base, serving different manufacturing industries and sizes of business, working with external agencies as required
- Generate sales opportunities through focused lead generation to meet business targets
- Collaborate with directors, sales and technical staff to develop plans and engaging value propositions

Management responsibilities;
- Hold regular meetings with divisional team to set priorities, plan activity and review progress of sales & marketing
- Produce accurate information for management reports, campaign analysis & sales lead reports
- Report to MDs, present monthly analysis to board and control lead management for sales
- Adhere to Group marketing guidelines and approvals process
- Manage budgets, relevant external suppliers, and liaise with finance team on orders and payments
- Collaborate with internal and remote stakeholders, brief telemarketing resource where appropriate

Marketing responsibilities;
- Research, plan & deliver marketing campaigns to target markets and existing customer base
- Develop email prospecting, landing page funnels and automated nurture campaigns
- Produce web pages, marketing videos, collateral, content and communications
- Develop content marketing funnels aligned to customer buying journeys and work alongside digital agency to research, review and run content marketing programmes
- Build and manage digital advertising campaigns including Google AdWords
- Develop LinkedIn prospecting programme and advertising
- Create blog content for multiple blogs and sector newsletters
- Devise and manage the design, copy, production and print of collateral, brochures, case studies, newsletters, advertising, direct mail & email, datasheets and additional sales collateral
- Manage all aspects of tradeshows and customer events: organisation, design, marketing & lead-taking on stand
- Effective, legally compliant use of CRM, marketing automation & email tools
- Market research, market sizing, segmentation and data
- Customer communications, campaigns, case studies (video & print) and surveys
- Social media, editorial, PR and press releases for sector publications
- Manage business partner marketing programmes
- Assist with ad hoc corporate projects as required
- Continually monitor marketplace for competitor news, trends and new developments
- Undertake any work appropriate to the role
- Communicate with personnel at all levels

Qualifications and Experience;
- Degree level or equivalent, preferably in a marketing or related business discipline
- A minimum of 3 years’ broad experience in a marketing communications role
- Strong conceptual, copywriting, design appreciation and software skills for creating effective campaign content
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- CIM qualifications preferable, but not essential
- Knowledge and understanding of B2B marketing of technology, software solutions and services and/or experience marketing to manufacturers, would be a strong advantage
