Assistant Change Manager

Project - HS2 Enabling works

Contract - 9 months - Birmingham

Day rate - dependant on experience

My client are one of the joint ventures that have been contracted to conduct the HS2 Enabling works for Phase One of the project. They are currently looking for an Assistant Change Manager to join their team.

Description of activities to be undertaken:

* Assist the Change Manager with the Works Package contract administration
* Assist the Change Manager in relation to project change progress and performance
* Review contractual correspondence on a daily basis to identify Early Engagement CEs for discussion with the Change Manager prior to update of the Early Engagement CE Register.
* Liaise with the Work Package QS’s to ensure CEs, PMIs, PICDs are distributed timeously ,quotations raised and submitted in accordance with the Contract timeline.
* Attend weekly change review meetings where change issues and progress of quotation submissions are discussed.
* Assist in the production of monthly change reports for inclusion in the Client Progress Report and the JV Board meeting packs
* Ensure that approved change is captured in the programme and costs and that all change is priced and scheduled in accordance with the agreed WBS.
* Assist in the drafting and issuing of formal communications regarding change to relevant parties and supply chain

Qualifications required for the role:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with 5 years Post Qualification experience
