Role – Service Manager

Location – Can be based in London/Greater London/Home Counties

Salary – £45,000 – £50,000 + Bonus (up to £15,800) + Fully Expensed Company Car + 28 days holiday + pension

The Company

ATA recruitment is currently for highly successful, worldwide engineering business who specialise in the design & manufacture of specialist equipment for the power distribution industry. They have been established for over 100 years and are experts in their field delivering systems across the globe. They are currently looking for a Service Manager to join their rowing team of nearly 1500 employees

The Service Manager will be responsible for managing a service team of eight and will spend the majority of the time as the senior point of contact for each contract, negotiating terms & conditions and ensuring strong business relationships are maintained.

The Role

The role of Service Manager will involve:

80% of the role will involve managing the department & 20% of the time you will be hands on at customer sites acting as the senior point of contact.

*
This will involve talking on a technical level about Power Distribution systems to understand the clients requirements.

*
Service sales calls to existing and new customers to expand contract sales in the region.

*
Working closely with Commercial Managers & Applications Engineers to grow the business.

*
Commercial negotiations of service contracts, spare part & warranty services.

*
Ensuring all customer enquiries, quotation, sales & purchase orders are validated and delivered on within specific time frames.

*
Producing commercial reports, service quotations and invoices.

*
Staff training and development.

*
Ensure engineering capacity through scheduling of engineers and equipment.

*
Maintaining the companies project tracking system.

*
Attend and report at sales & financial meetings.

*
Manage & monitor customer feedback to ensure all department KPIs are met.

The Person

To be successful as a Service Manager you will need:

*
An Electrical Engineering qualification e.g. ONC, HND, HNC, Degree.

*
Previous experience working within Electrical Power Systems.

*
Experience leading a managing a team.
