Our long-standing manufacturing client in North Bristol are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who has manufacturing, fabrication or heaving engineering background.

The company covers a multitude of manufacturing projects for the nuclear, oil and gas, defence, marine, industrial, pharmaceutical, architectural and water industries and so the work is varied and complex and would welcome experience from anyone of those sectors.

Their most recent accomplishment is winning a fabrication and welding contract with a very high profile nuclear client for the next 5 years, ensuring both the company’s bright future and continuous expansion.

Evaluation of manufacturing processes; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, tooling and materials, will be key in this role.

You will be manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.

Improvement of manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.

Assures product and process quality by designing inspection/testing methods; testing of finished-product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

Develop a team ethos within the whole business through leading cross functional team during problem solving activity workshops.

Develop a continuous improvement culture throughout the business encompassing Kanban introduction; value stream mapping, process auditing, SOP development/management.

Liaise with suppliers and customers.

Our ideal candidate will have be able to deal with complex situations, transfer information. You will have managed a small team team previously be up to date with your · Manufacturing methods and fabrication procedures.

Ideally you will have good understanding of product development, presentation of technical information and CAD/CAM design.

In return our client is offering a £35-45k salary (depending on experience) and the company benefits and will involve you on some of the highest profile nuclear projects in the UK.
