Do you have a proven background in Power Electronics Product Design, a strong academic history and an understanding of motor control theory? We have an innovative Client, designing ground breaking products for a range of energy saving water applications seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer.
The ideal applicant will have demonstrable skills in the design of high performance power electronics systems together with good knowledge of industry best practice around reliability, thermal management, quality and manufacturing.
Essential Requirements:
• Good Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Power Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in power electronics design (SMPS, VFDs, IGBTs).
• Motor Control Theory (synchronous & asynchronous).
• Machine drive system modelling and analysis (Matlab / Simulink, PSCAD).
• Understanding of analogue / discrete electronics.
• Schematic design / layout using recognised CAD package.
• Analogue signal chain design and simulation (SPICE).
Applications are sought from Senior Engineers with good leadership abilities, a hands-on approach to problem solving and good time management skills.
You will take responsibility for the power electronics and motor control for a range of new Variable Frequency Drive products based on core reusable platform architectures, customised for specific applications and environments
