Are you an experienced Engineering Manager, with a proven track record in delivering results through your team, looking for a new challenge?

Working for this superior production facility, employing over 650 personnel in the UK, specialising in the manufacture of food products directly into many major high street retailers and foodservice sector, this company:

The Suitable Candidate:-

- Engineering Manager with a robust character, not phased by new challenges and able to see jobs through to completion
- Strong engineering background with very high engineering standards
- Background in Food Manufacturing or FMCG would be desirable, but any engineering manufacturing background will be considered
- Proven track record of delivering through people, coaching, mentoring and developing people to achieve success
- Excellent leadership skills and previous experience of transforming people into high performing teams
- Able to drive for results, lead change, recognise good performance and manage under performance.
- Able to drive PPM’s and increase productivity.
- Able to re-write PPM schedules to increase performance.

The Role:-

- Managing the engineering department ensuring compliance with all H&S responsibilities, legal compliance, delivering efficiencies, continuous improvements and maintenance management in respect of product streams, services, buildings and all other ancillary equipment.
- To manage external contractors issuing work permits where appropriate and ensure contractor control is fully enforced
- To identify and implement opportunities for efficiency and process improvements
- To manage all labour and resource issues; including training requirements, skills development, RTWI, absence and holiday cover and disciplinary issues etc. To carry out performance management of craftsmen providing regular feedback, delivery of departmental and individual objectives, recognising good performance and managing under performance.
- Proactively manage your own time (and others) including prioritising workload and making sound decisions based on the needs of the business
