Technical Support Engineer – Skype for Business/Lync
Permanent, £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with Unified Communications experience? Do you have specific subject matter expertise in Skype for Business/Lync? If so, Code Red Associates could be recruiting for your next career move. We are a leading supplier of Permanent & Contract ICT resource to a variety of Blue Chip, SME & expanding organisations throughout the UK and are currently resourcing Skype for Business Unified Communications Consultant for cutting edge & rapidly expanding IT Consultancy in the South West.

The purpose of the role will be to be provide predominantly remote unified communications installations and assistance in resolving technical issues for customers. Day-to-day responsibilities will also include providing both project and service desk support; acting as an escalation point for unified communications; providing mentoring to junior team members; assisting in product evaluations; risk mitigation and maximising opportunities; providing customers with solution designs; maintaining and creating subject matter documentation; and providing a service based on customer satisfaction and continual improvement.

Essential skills

⦁ Successful commercial experience in the installation, administration and support of Skype for Business/Microsoft Lync
⦁ Audiocodes/Sonus Sessions Border Controllers support and administration experience
⦁ SSL certificates
⦁ Administrating and supporting load balancing technologies
⦁ Windows Server administration including Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DCHP, Group Policy
⦁ Experience administrating cloud solutions such as Office365
⦁ Networking skills – Cisco switches, routers, firewalls

Desirable

⦁ Microsoft certifications such as MCITP or MCSA
⦁ SharePoint
⦁ Office365 migration
⦁ Virtualisation – Vmware/Hyper-V/Citrix XenApp
⦁ SANs
⦁ Backup solutions – such as Backup Exec / Veeam
⦁ Telephony solutions – Avaya
⦁ Any IT vendor accreditations – such as Dell, HP, IBM
