To be shortlisted for this role, you must hold a degree with a classification of a 2:2 or above. The ideal Trainee SEN Teacher candidate will have previous experience of supporting children or adults with SEN requirements or of supporting learning more generally, experience gained across any setting will be considered (both in and outside of education). At this vibrant school, you will be working within one of the classes in the Primary Phase, dependent on your preferences. Each class has up to a maximum of 10 students and initially you will be working in a TA capacity, supported by several experienced TAs and the Class Teacher. As you develop into this Trainee SEN Teacher role you will begin to take on additional responsibilities gaining first-hand experience of lesson planning and book marking, working closely alongside the Class Teacher. You will also be offered the opportunity to take on more teaching responsibilities as you progress into the second year year of this 2-year teacher training programme.
