Empowering Learning are currently working with an Academy who wish to appoint an English Teacher. You will teach on a full-time basis to pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4.

We’re looking for someone that has previously worked in a secondary school and has a track record of being able to build good rapport with both students and staff. You will have strong subject knowledge and you will provide positive learning environments for your pupils, encouraging all pupils to learn and progress to the best of their ability. You will be expected to do all planning and marking for your KS3 & KS4 lessons.

The school is a close-knit community that pride themselves in knowing their students. They strongly encourage their students to take part in a wide range of enrichment activities in order to discover all of their strengths and talents and they also regularly organise whole school events and educational visits so that their students have experience of learning beyond the classroom!

To be successful in this role you must:
• have a strong classroom presence
• the skills to make a significant impact on raising the quality of teaching and learning
• secure good progress for all students
• be able to demonstrate resilience
• be able to inspire and motivate and be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
• hold a relevant UK teaching qualification and QTS
