New Directions Education are looking to appoint a ALN specialist Teacher to join a ALN school in the Wrexham area. The position is to start in April 2018 and continue for the rest of the academic year. The school is a small special school with pupils between the ages of 11 to 16 years who have sever and complex special educational needs and/or disabilities.

The school is looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and has proven experience working with children with additional learning needs. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons which are targeted for the individual needs of the children within the class.

Preferably we would like Teachers to have registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) or would be willing to, and to also have a DBS or would be prepared to apply for a DBS.
Additional Information
The role of a Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teacher will require

A relevant teaching qualification;
Ideally experience working in an ALN environment;
Recent experience in a classroom environment;
An excellent track record;
Good knowledge of the national curriculum;
Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
