Masterclass Education is seeking a Lead Construction Teacher to join an Alternative Provision school. This school is located in Bromley, South East London and is easily accessible by both public transport and car. Ideally the school are looking to interview and secure the right teacher to start after Easter.

About the successful Construction Teacher will

• Have a passion for your subject choice and wish to inspire and motivate students to learn
• Have a proven track record teaching construction across KS3 – 5
• A determination and resilience to break barriers and promote engagement
• The ability to adapt your knowledge and differentiate lessons dependent on individual students’ needs
• Be willing to see past the stereo-typing of ‘bad behaviour’
• Utilise the expertise knowledge and support you have received within mainstream settings and adapt to an AP setting
• Be a qualified to teach Construction and hold an in-date DBS registered with the update service

About the Construction Teacher role

• Be responsible for supporting the learning and improving student attainment across subject lessons
• Support learning activities and teacher by ensuring pupils stay on task and are focused throughout lessons
• Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups, you may also be required to lead booster sessions during exam preparations specifically with GCSE and A Level classes
• Assist the class teacher with preparing lessons and learning resources
• In addition to supporting learning, you are likely to support the behaviour management in line with school policies
