Electronic Design Engineer working for a well established engineering business in Lancaster.

Your new company
Your new company are a well established design house that specialise in the complete design & manufacture of complex electronic systems. These complex sonar systems are used in the most worlds harshest of environments. A number of their key products which you will be involved with are used in sub sea environment. Due to continued business growth they are now looking to add a electronic design engineer to their team.

Your new role
In your new role you will be working as electronic design engineer reporting in to the engineering manager. You will be working in multi skilled engineering team including mechanical, electrical and software. You will assist on key projects within the business and be the go to person when it comes to electronic design. Your main duties will include the design of hardware and firmware for embedded systems and production of manufacturing data, this will include BOMs, schematics and assembly procedures. You will liaise with all other engineers within the business and also be involved of testing when it comes to systems and subsystems.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have a degree in electronic engineering and have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a electronic design role. You will need to have excellent communication and time management skills as well as a good understanding of how to work in a cross functional engineering office. Knowledge of sub sea acoustics would be very beneficial for this role along with knowledge of Altium.
