Person Specification - SEN Teacher - South East London
This role requires an ambitious SEN Teacher who is able to understand the balance between team-work and independent learning. The ideal individual should be able to use their creative and dynamic approach to bring new ideas into the school, driving attainment through exciting lesson content and high levels of student interaction.

About the Role - SEN Teacher - South East London
They will be teaching a class of 10 pupils ranging from Year 7 to Year 10. The class has several complex medical and physical needs. 1 child is visually impaired and 2 have hearing impairments. All have speech and language delay and a knowledge of Makaton would be beneficial. 1 pupil can be quite defiant and argumentative and can present with quite opposition and challenging behaviour.

The SEN Teacher would be expected to undertake all planning and other paperwork for the class - they would receive PPA time in line with school policy. As it is a long term placement it would be hoped they would be able to attend after school staff meetings weekly.

The SEN Teacher would be responsible for managing 3 TA's working In the class.
