Adecco have a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company whose Head Office is based in Newbury. Our client is looking for a Trainee Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis, starting ASAP paying a competitive salary dependant on experience. This is an ideal role for someone looking for an exciting new opportunity, previous office based experience is preferable but not essential.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Customer contact via telephone, email & letter to chase for overdue trade debts and to encourage prompt payment.
• Correct allocation of customer payments to their accounts.
• Informing branch managers of any account queries to enable a speedy resolution.
• Banking of customer cheques and processing of BACS and credit card payments.
• Preparation and marking up of individual aged debts to review with the Credit Manager on a weekly basis.
• Informing the Credit Manager of any particular areas for concern including bad debts.
• Implementing and updating the daily “restricted accounts” form and ensuring this accurately reflects accounts that are on or off stop.
• Working with the rest of the team and looking after other people’s work when they are away.
• General filing of monthly paperwork.
