Our client, a market leader within their field, has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Purchase Ledger to join their busy Finance Department based in their Birchwood head office.

The successful candidate will thrive within a fast-paced environment with a great ability for problem solving. You will be responsible for handling high volumes of transactions on a daily basis therefore you must have the ability to work quickly with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

As a Senior Purchase Ledger, you will be responsible for;

·Input & scanning of purchase invoices onto the system

·Match purchase invoices to purchase orders

·Record and resolve invoice queries, liaising with both internal colleagues and the suppliers

·Management of invoices out for approval with colleagues

·Coding of invoices in adherence to the internal nominal structure

·Allocate direct debit payments to invoices

·Monthly statement reconciliation of key accounts

·Management of the payables mailbox

·Any other duties that the company may reasonably determine from time to time

Essential requirements are;

    You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar roleHave experience of using accounting software such as Sage 50 and be competent in using Excel spreadsheetsDemonstrate good numeracy and accuracy skillsAbility to work quickly without compromising accuracy Have a high level of attention to detail
