Tradewind are working in collaboration with a warm and welcoming Barnet Primary School to recruit a Year 5 Teaching Assistant.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a lively and motivated Teaching Assistant to work in one of their Year 5 classes. The role is due to commence after Easter half term and will continue until July 2018 with the view to being extended in September 2018. This will be a full-time role working five days per week. Your daily rate of pay will be £75.00 per day.

The successful candidate will be working in a successful one form entry primary school with high quality teaching and learning. The schools aim to provide a lively, creative environment that allows all pupils to participate in a range of high quality learning opportunities. The Headteacher is looking for a Year 5 Teaching Assistant with the following attributes:

• Good knowledge and understanding of the UK curriculum

• A Teaching Assistant who is looking to commit to a role until July 2018
• A Teaching Assistant who is looking to progress in their career and become a teacher in the future

This role will require you to work as a general classroom practitioner in a Year 5 class. You will be required to support the teacher implement lessons and assist with differentiation to ensure all pupils are receiving full access to the curriculum. During afternoon sessions, you will be required to conduct booster sessions for pupils who require additional support in core subjects. The successful candidate will be working alongside an experienced class teacher who has excellent knowledge and can offer valuable support to staff who are looking to excel in their career and become a teacher.

The school is very easily accessible via the Northern Line allowing easy access to the school from North and South London. Parking is available for staff who wish to drive.

To be considered for this position the school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working in a school setting.
The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas police Clearances and professional reference checks.
