The school is based in Hounslow and has recently undergone refurbishment across all their grounds and now has modern architecture and technological resources. The Humanities department comprises of over 11 members of staff and has some of the highest results across the GCSE and A-level cohort.
Last year, humanities saw above 79% of pupils achieve A*-C in humanities at GCSE standard in which the majority of this comprised across History. Across both GCSE and A-level, the school are involved in a number of external trips to enhance learning, such as Belgium and Munich, where pupils benefit from first-hand walks through history.
Whilst you are expected to be a History Teacher across Key Stage 3 and 4, it is expected that an experience teacher will teach up to Key Stage 5 curriculum. Within this role specifically, the History Teacher will be involved in the teaching of other humanities such as RS and Geography at Key Stage 3 level.
