Risk Manager - Insurance
A world leading property and casualty insurer is seeking a Risk Manager to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role holder will work with the Senior Risk Manager - ERM to promote the embedding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) aby enhancing risk management activities towards the achievement of the European regional corporate objectives.
The Risk Manager - ERM will promote functional (Claims, Finance, Actuarial, IT, etc.) first line ownership and monitoring of the risk appetite statements via the development of a suitable risk reporting framework that supports risk based decision making and escalation of issues as required.
In addition, the role will support and manage the stress and scenario framework, emerging risk analysis, risk aggregation and accumulation monitoring analyses, production of the Own Risk & Solvency Assessments (ORSA) reports and its use by all segments and functions in risk management and risk based decision making.
The role will also work with the project management office/role holder to ensure appropriate oversight and management of key project risks.
The Risk Manager - ERM will report to the Senior Risk Manager - ERM, who reports to the Head of Risk Management. Key relationships other than those within reporting lines include Capital Modelling team, Finance, Actuarial function, Compliance function, Internal Audit function, Executive Directors and the Enterprise Risk Management Unit.
Knowledge & Experience Required
- Degree level or equivalent risk management qualification.
- Risk experience gained in an insurance environment
- Proven ability at working with underwriting, finance, actuarial and other professionals
- Excellent report writing skills and ability to communicate technical positions clearly at senior management level
- French and German language skills (Desirable)
