Job description

    Ensure company plant and equipment is running at maximum efficiency by minimising downtime through scheduled maintenance, and continuous improvementUse line monitoring, fault finding and problem solving techniques to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of all company plant and equipmentComplete all required paperwork, produce engineering kpi reports accurately and on a timely basisDocument all works carried out and provide a step by step guide for minor repairs and maintenanceManage and develop the engineering function with continuous improvement in mindLiaise and arrange sub-contractor support and co-ordinate their attendance to ensure systems are serviced, maintained, repaired and calibratedStock management of all parts and tools, ensuring the availability of essential itemsTake ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standardMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsCarry out fabrication repairs to equipment and the building (painting, plumbing, welding etc)Provide out-of-hours support when requiredLiaise and communicate with Staff and Managers to ensure the above tasks are completed efficientlyMaintain Food Safety StandardsComply with Health and Safety regulations

Requirements

    Experience in installing and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipmentAbility to read and understand technical drawingsGood problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise and make decisionsGood understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and its application within your roleAbility to communicate effectively both in verbal and written communicationComputer literate (word, excel)Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in relevant engineering maintenance field or equivalent.
Salary will depend on experience.
