Technical Sales Team Leader
Do you thrive on customer interaction and enjoy delivering online demos via WebEx? Due to the rapid growth, we are looking to add ambitious individuals who can excel working on their own initiative, manage a small team and be responsible for growth and development within our online services.
You might already be in sales, or someone with a technical, maritime or marketing background. As important as having the relevant experience, you will be curious to learn and develop, interested in our website and how our customers use our data. You will report to the Head of Corporate Sales.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
Respond to inbound leads, identify and target key prospects to ensure new business growth
Managing a small team, including recruitment and 1:2:1s
Arranging email campaigns to generate leads for our online services
Ensure the set number of weekly online demos is achieved by the team
Manage new/ existing business/ private accounts through the full sales cycle
Accurately calculate quotations, handle invoices and licence agreements and update salesforce CRM
Take charge of reporting, forecast and targets in line with business goals
Gather competitor intelligence and contribute to sales meetings with sales teams in UK and Singapore
Participate in review activities in addition to product and service optimization with our teams in Athens; Product, Marketing and Customer Success
To research and utilise industry tools to identify opportunities for business growth
Travelling 4-8 times a year to represent us at industry events and conferences or training
It’s essential that you:
Build rapport with customers to understand their needs
Have regularly exceeded your targets and enjoy working to your KPIs
Enjoy managing a small team
Have a consultative approach and excellent at finding a solution to difficult or complex issues
Are strong in English and have great communication skills - written and verbal
Have an aptitude for prioritising, planning and attention to detail
Use your initiative and manage your own time to good effect
Have good IT skills: you are comfortable using Microsoft Office and WebEx
Collaborative approach to working with others, internally and externally
Are pro-active, positive and thrive on challenges
And it would be even better if you are also:
Comfortable using Salesforce, Jira, Confluence and related processes
Familiar with the maritime industry
Experienced in delivering presentations/demos
