Acorn Recruitment is seeking an experienced Machinist (Conveyor Belt Vulcaniser) for an established design and manufacturing business in Brecon, Mid Wales.

Reporting to the Operations Manager

Salary £23k P.A. plus OTE, plus profit share scheme, generous benefits, Company pension contribution, 25 days holiday and expenses.

Working a day shift - 39 hours, Monday to Friday

Duties include:-
*Assist in production processes and to operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products.
*To operate machinery and equipment to trim, grind and vulcanise rubber products into final form.
*To make minor adjustments or repairs to products, lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly, inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards, check and monitor product quality and adjust machinery and equipment to the proper settings.
*Further duties will include the operation of manufacturing machinery including powder coating equipment, assembly of customer's machines prior to despatch and to successfully run a task with little to no supervision. The ability to assess the job requirement using your own skills and initiative is also desirable.
*Undertake the occasional site works to either assist an engineer in the repair of damaged belts or under your own initiative once full training has been acquired, therefore it is essential that you have a full clean driving licence, a flexible approach and the willingness for overnight stays including occasional weekends.
*You will have the capability of documenting and capturing machine/site information, feeding back into the business ensuring further opportunities are secured.
