We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with experience of designing and installing Process Equipment and Machinery for the Material Handling sectors.

The role will be part of a global partnership of Project Engineering Teams that provide system design solutions and project management for the delivery, commissioning and installation of Material Handling Machinery and associated equipment (Pumps, Controls, Motors, Structural / Static Products).

The Midlands based team is responsible for the post sales management of a customer’s order and for managing the complete successful delivery of a Handling Solution that will also include all additional operational systems.

The right candidate for this position will have a proven Project Engineering / Management background in system design and delivery of materials handling solution. A formal qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering - HNC or above. Have a proven background in working with P&ID’s, HAZOP’s, ATEX Rating, Pumps, Hydraulics and Structural Components. Be confident in the use of 2D or 3D CAD to create suitable drawings / P&ID’s.

The role will require an element of international travel that could be 1 to 2 weeks at a time, 10 - 12 times per year. However will often be 2 - 3 days at a time.

I would be very keen to speak to candidates who have experience in the following:

  • Material Handling
  • Mechanical / Chemical Engineering Process Equipment
  • CAD / Plant Layout / P&ID
  • HAZOP’s / ATEX
  • Project Software Tools– MS Office
  • Experience of working on projects between £30,000 - £1,000,000
  • Experience of working overseas
  • A working knowledge of Pumps, Hydraulics, Waste Management, Electrical / Control Systems
