Job Description
Adecco Chelmsford are currently recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant on behalf of our Chelmsford based client. A well-established market leader within its field, renowned for its reputable, innovative and professional service which, they provide to their clients at a local, national and international level. Our client, are offering the exciting, new opportunity in their offices due to expansion of the business.

The objective of the role will see you working as part of a busy team responsible for providing bookkeeping and accountancy services to their existing clients. As well as maintaining their prestigious reputation by communicating professionally with clients and customers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

*Supervising a team of 8 bookkeepers
*Ensuring completion of all client bank reconciliation each month
*Working alongside the purchase and sales ledger teams to process and payment of invoices
*Reviewing and approving supplier changes, tenant details and all work completed by your team
*Monthly reporting
*Assisting the accounts department by dealing with any queries or requests
*Processing payroll
*Provide support and training for any new starters

Candidate Profile
*Eager to learn and be self-sufficient in all bookkeeping tasks
*Previous experience within a bookkeeping role is essential
*Prior experience of working within a shared service centre
*AAT Level 4 or equivalent bookkeeping qualification
*Attention to detail
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Strong organisation and time management skills

25 days holiday increasing to 30 with length of service
