Our team is on the hunt for a Senior Front End Developer to help us improve the performance, usability, scalability, and cross browser compatibility of our eCommerce solutions.

The successful candidate will be a leader in their field, with an awareness of current and future methodologies that shape our sector and keep us at the forefront of the eCommerce industry. This is a challenging and exciting role that will allow you to work alongside fellow experts across development, marketing and project management departments, as well as the wider family.

It's important that you're a team player, as you'll need to work closely with fellow Front End Developers as well as as PHP Developers, Designers, Project Managers, Marketeers and many more professionals within the wider family.

Duties & Responsibilities:

CODING: Write valid HTML and CSS mark-up (and be willing to learn other languages and/or frameworks if required.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Comprehensively spec, develop, document and rollout large scale roadmap projects.

LEADERSHIP: Contribute to architecture discussions and drive front end decisions.

EFFICIENCY: Stick to established specs, timeframes, budgets, processes and standards.

COMMUNICATION: Liaise directly with clients / third parties / relevant stakeholders where required.

INNOVATION: Pro-actively improve our products beyond the scope of specified work requirements.

MANAGEMENT: From time to time, you'll shadow Team Leaders and provide cover in their absence if required, as well as working with the wider team to ensure we hit our deadlines and KPIs.

There are also a few prerequisites for this particular role:

·Higher level education in relevant field or equivalent experience

·Excellent working knowledge of HTML5, CSS and jQuery

·Over 3 years' commercial experience using HTML and CSS

·Knowledge of and ability to manipulate PHP and MySQL to your advantage.

·Have a positive attitude & proactive approach to tasks to ensure maximum efficiency and a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.

·Be a team player & work effectively with a number of key stakeholders from across the business, as well as our clients, of course.

·Good communicator - as a leading digital and eCommerce business, this is very much our thing, so it needs to be yours, too.

·An interest in UX design and the initiative to bring innovative ideas to the table.
