Machine Repair Technician


Temp to Perm £7.50 rising to £7.83, generous overtime rate available

35 hours Mon-Fri 08.00 to 16.00

Hunters’ client is a leading manufacturer requiring a Machine Repair Technician to maintain and repair the fleet of rental machines. The Machine Repair Technician will ensure the safety and efficiency of these machines through thorough inspection and maintenance, prior to their deployment in retail stores.There are two positions available, both with the potential to move from Temp to Permanent.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities / Duties1.To PAT test all machines that come in for inspection.

2.To Diagnose faults and repair accordingly.

To adhere to Health and Safety guidelines at all times and to report any failings immediately to your line manager.To be able to use all electrical, mechanical and air tools correctly and safelyTo maintain accurate and legible records relating to repairs actioned and parts used.To check in the incoming spares to stock and to notify supervisor of reduced stock levels where required.To ensure the cleanliness of the workshop.To train 3rd parties, ie. New recruits or trainees from distributor network.To unpack faulty machinesTo pallet up repaired machines.To maintain complete and accurate records of work carried out on machinesPersonal Attributes
