well-established, Greater Manchester based organisation, is looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will support the credit controller and Finance Manager with various duties within Sales Ledger.

Sitting within the team you will be required to

  • Creating and processing a high number of sales invoices in a timely and accurate basis using Sage Accounts
  • Sorting through various ledgers to point out unallocated cash, ensuring everything reconciles
  • Processing high volume of invoices
  • Working with the wider finance team to identify and correct ledger mispostings
  • Instigating legal action when the need arises
  • Responsible for the collection of outstanding debts from a large number of customers, ranging from smaller independents, to multi-million-pound customers
  • Chase invoices for approval
  • Work closely with the credit control function as required to minimize the occurrence of problem debts Processing of refunds and adjustments
  • Dealing with ledger queries by phone, email and letter

The ideal experience should include

  • Previous Sales Ledger experience
  • Strong IT skills including Excel
  • Experience of using Sage 50 will be advantageous
  • Good communication skill
  • Ability to manage and organise own workload
