My client - the UK’s only fully integrated provider of home phone, mobile, broadband, gas and electricity services are currently recruiting for a Graduate Governance and Compliance Analyst to join their team.

Please note this is an entry level role that would suit a graduate with some work experience.

Industry codes underpin the electricity and gas retail and wholesale markets, and govern the arrangements for market participants in relation to the generation, transportation, distribution and supply of gas and electricity. As an electricity and gas supplier my client is required to accede to, and comply with, the requirements set out in industry codes.

A core function of this role is to monitor the businesses compliance with multiple industry codes, interpreting industry change proposals and delivering required changes to internal policies and procedures, to ensure the business meets regulatory requirements whilst continuing to deliver award winning service to customers.

What you will actually do:

Produce and maintain a framework to monitor the businesses compliance against all industry codes, contributing to monthly update reportsResearch and keep up-to-date with industry and compliance changesRepresent the businesses interests at industry meetings, driving change proposals for the benefit of customersProduce monthly scoping documents to brief industry led change into the Programme teamCollaborate with technology, programme, operations, marketing and finance personnel to produce assessments about industry led change proposalsReview and approve internally led change proposals, process changes and marketing material for impact on the businesses compliance with industry codesBe a point of contact for internal stakeholders, assisting with queries relating to industry codes and complianceWhat you will need:

Recent Graduate with proven analytical skills such as a 2:1 and above Maths degree or degree including Statistics module(s) or similarAn interest in working in a regulatory environmentStrong mathematical skillsExcellent analytical skills. An eye for detailAbility to manage conflicting priorities and work well under pressureStrong interpersonal and communication skillsGood grasp of business and regulatory terminologiesStrong organisation skills with the ability to manage own time and prioritise tasks accordingly, often working to strict deadlinesAbility to build relationships with a wide variety of people
