Financial Reporting Project Accountant required by a FMCG company based in West London. The purpose of the role is to integrate the financial reporting processes of businesses acquisitions into the existing company model.


Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:


1) Integration processes
* Assistance with pre-completion planning procedures
* Point of contact for acquired subsidiary for integration matters
* Managing the mapping and alignment of local ledgers to the Group Chart of Accounts
* Building temporary and long-term financial consolidation solutions
* Ensuring the transition of accounting knowledge from the seller
* Harmonising accounting policies with the wider Group
* Managing any FRS 102 to IFRS conversion requirements
* Managing alignment to Group month end processes

2) Supporting wider Group Finance requirements
* Assistance with acquisition accounting (Opening balance sheet, fair value, financing accounting entries, consolidation entries & Intercompany transactions)
* Assisting acquired business with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial information required for Group
* Working with external auditors

3) Monthly/Quarterly reporting
* Consolidation of newly acquired entities results in Financial Accounting version of BPC (Group Consolidation tool)
* Instruction, training and preparation around monthly and quarterly financial accounting deliverables
* Liaising with reporting entities to resolve issues and understand the information reported
* Assistance with the consolidation into the wider Group accounts

4) Statutory accounts
* Coordination of newly acquired entities local statutory audit processes to get YE calendar changed to 31 December
* Coordination with local employees or working within sellers TSA agreement to get historical information necessary to prepare the statutory accounts

5) Financial controls/SOX
* Assistance with the integration of SOX financial controls in the newly acquired entity

Candidate Required:
* Good understanding of IFRS required and FRS 101/102
* Exceptional excel skills
* Experience of consolidations in multiple currencies
* SAP & BPC experience preferred
* A qualified accountant (Preferably ACA with Big 4 background)
* Ideally at least 5+ years relevant post qualification experience
