CMA Recruitment Group is working with a highly regarded international organisation based in Southampton, to recruit a Senior Commercial Accountant on a permanent basis.

The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the commercial finance function across the group; ensuring accurate financial reporting and budgeting, strong financial controls and meaningful management information to support the executive and wider management team in making informed business decisions via commercial support and analysis.

Key responsibilities will include:
*To report financial information monthly in line with agreed group timetables and support the business in reviewing monthly financials;
*To review the reconciliations prepared by the operational finance team;
*To work closely with the individuals responsible for the other functions and the group finance team to ensure consistent application of accounting policies across the group;
*To build controls and processes to improve the quality of data by service and enable the reporting of this data in a more automated manner;
*Preparation of annual statutory accounts for overseas subsidiaries as required;
*Liaison with overseas auditors & other advisors as required to ensure timely completion of filing;
*To work closely with Group finance and the stream managers to ensure comprehensive and accurate budgets are prepared and re-forecasts are performed as required;
*To support and challenge the business managers and Commercial Director in developing the strategic plan;
*To analyse historical data and provide guidance on likely future business trends;
*To support and challenge regional sales managers in recording future opportunities;
*To review and develop pricing models working in conjunction with the Commercial Director and business managers;
*To be responsible for the review and/or preparation of pricing on complex bids;
*Complete post bid financial reviews advising project managers on variances and lessons learned;
*To support business projects as required, including IT and change projects;
*To support the FD in preparing presentations for members or other external stakeholders as required.

Applicants will need to be qualified, with previous experience of a commercially focused or business partnering role. Candidates looking to make the move out of practice will also be considered for this role as guidance can be provided for the right candidate with an audit background.
