Who will I be working for? A large food manufacturer based in Leeds, trading since 1900 who produce healthy and delicious snacks with an emphasis on meeting a range of dietary requirements such as dairy free, nut free, lactose free, kosher, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free.

Competitive pay of £4.50/hour.
20 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays.

Candidates must have:
A willingness to learn, a keen interest in Engineering, minimum of grade C GCSE's in English and Math (or equivalent)

Main purpose of the role:
To support the site engineers in ensuring all plant, machinery and facilities remain safe and in good working order and achieve performance output, utilisation and waste control targets.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the site preventative maintenance schedule
  • Assist with any breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Assist operational staff in achieving utilisation and efficiency KPI’s
  • Ensure all engineering records are completed accurately
  • Support the achievement of production KPI’s
  • Undergo relevant training pertinent to the role
  • Contribute to the development of the engineering department in line with the business growth
  • Carry out general daily maintenance checks under supervision
  • Maintain an inventory of all tools and consumables and report any defects
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of the production department and facilities
  • Any other duties of a similar nature as determined from time to time by management
