LexisNexis, a division of the RELX Group, is a leader in legal and professional publishing. Leveraging over 30 years of online experience, LexisNexis offers one of the best opportunities to contribute to the building of tomorrow's information services spanning across multiple media.

Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a talented and experienced commercial property lawyer to join our LexisPSL Property team. This opportunity would suit a practicing lawyer who is looking for an alternative career in the legal industry and a better work/life balance.

The emphasis of the role will be on delivering first-class legal content and practical guidance, current awareness and knowledge/transaction tools for real estate lawyers.

The successful candidate will have strong, recent, transactional real estate experience and will have an appetite for developing wider commercial skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

excellent technical legal knowledge-broad experience of the property arena and industry

strong authoring/content creation skills

clear, succinct writing style

accountability for content contained in the Property practice area by helping to orchestrate a high quality, current, and market-focused content proposition

an ability to identify and champion consistent responses to industry issues

excellent presentation, networking, and interpersonal skills

an ability to work across business units and motivate/influence people and to act empathetically

Although the role is not a sales role in the traditional sense, the successful candidate will also be expected to draw upon their network amongst the legal profession both to inform the service, leverage contacts to contribute to the product, and to facilitate the sales process.

For the right candidate this role represents an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and maintenance of a market-leading product at the heart of LexisNexis' Legal Intelligence proposition.

Key Requirements:

UK qualified real estate solicitor

with significant transactional experience in private practice

Desirable skills we're looking for:

In-house experience

previous exposure to a law firm's know-how and knowledge management strategies

previous experience of authoring articles on legal topics

experience in training and/or managing fellow lawyers

Working arrangements:

The role is offered full-time (5 days per week) primarily office-based.
